Notes and Tests reviews consumer products across categories, for a US audience. Whatever the segment, the method is the same: read the manufacturer's own published material — specifications, pricing, any subscription, warranty and returns — put the real cost side by side with the alternatives, and name the sources so you can check them at the maker's own product page yourself.
It is written by one person, not a masthead, and it says which kind of review it is doing: a documentation review is never dressed up as hands-on testing.

Reviews are built from published material rather than invented hands-on testing. Every figure carries the month it was read, because prices and terms change without notice and vary by region. Where a manufacturer's own materials contradict each other, the review marks the gap instead of quietly picking the flattering number.
Found something wrong? Corrections take priority over everything else here. If a price, specification or warranty term is out of date or simply incorrect, send it over with a source and it gets fixed or removed.
